Temples and Back of Neck
Use lavender or peppermint for stress, nausea, motion sickness, insomnia, and headaches.
Behind Ears
Use peppermint, lemon eucalyptus for headaches, dizziness, anxiety, fatigue, and lavender for insomnia.
Outside of Ears
Use lavender and/or rosemary for earache or swimmer’s ear.
Shoulders
Use ylang ylang for shoulder or joint pain.
Over Heart
Use ylang ylang and frankincense for depression, stress, and high blood pressure.
Chest
Use eucalyptus, peppermint, and lemon for chest congestion, coughs, bronchitis and asthma.
Abdomen
Use rosemary for menstrual pain, and peppermint for digestive issues.
Inner Foot Arch
Use rosemary for kidneys and adrenal glands.
Sole of Foot
Use peppermint, eucalyptus, and lemon for asthma, bronchitis, coughs and ylang ylang, bergamot for heart and high blood pressure.
Outer Arch
Use grapefruit, juniper and lemon for colon, bladder and liver.
Bottom of Big Toe
Use peppermint, rosemary and lavender for headaches.
Bottom of Middle Toes
Use sandalwood, frankincense, and clove for breast health.
Base of Middle Toe
Use peppermint, frankincense, and chamomile for eye health and eye strain.
Bottom of Pinky Toe
Use lemon, lavender and basil for earaches and vertigo.
An Important Note:
Essential oils are very powerful, and it’s important to first mix them with a carrier oil (like fractionated coconut oil) before massaging into the skin. A good ratio is 3-5 drops per tablespoon of carrier oil.
